In this blog post, we want to look back, tell you how we celebrated, and also take a look into the future.
How it all began – a look back
ecos work spaces opened its doors in Bielefeld for the first time 25 years ago. Back then, flexible working was still far from the norm. But it was clear early on that companies need more than just rigid office space. They need flexibility, good infrastructure and spaces that inspire.
Over the years, we have grown, embraced trends and constantly reinvented ourselves. An important milestone was our move to Queen Plaza on Herforder Straße – a location that suits us perfectly: centrally located, modernly equipped and with the right environment to turn ideas into reality.
Today, we are proud of our location in Queen Plaza. It is more than just an office building – it is a meeting place, a place for creative ideas and productive work.

A 25th anniversary should not go unnoticed. That's why we organised several activities that brought our community together.
Limoment tasting – you have decided!
Together with the beverage start-up Limoment, we have restocked our fridges. During the tasting, our members were able to sample, evaluate and vote on which varieties will have a place with us in the future. The result: full fridges, new favourite varieties – and lots of fun.
Breakfast & plant sponsorships – together instead of side by side
Another highlight was our big community breakfast. All members sat at a long table, ate, laughed and talked to each other.
But we wanted to add something special: everyone received a plant labelled with the name of another member. This created small sponsorships – people not only take care of the plant, but also of each other. This meant listening to each other, having good conversations and strengthening each other.
This has brought our community even closer together – in line with our motto: every person counts here.
AOK company run – getting active together
Of course, a sporting event was also a must. We entered a team in the AOK company run. The team spirit was fantastic, the atmosphere was exuberant – and in the end, we even took home a prize. A great example of how we are not only strong together in the office, but also on the running track.
Stories that stay with you
Our anniversary weeks have shown that we are not just about jobs. It's about encounters, conversations, inspiration – and sometimes even little surprises.
Whether it's chatting on the roof terrace, attending a workshop in the meeting centre or enjoying a joint event in the lounge: time and again, moments arise that remind us why we do what we do.
And it is precisely these stories that we want to continue writing in the future.
Looking ahead – the next 25 years
The world of work is changing rapidly: home offices, hybrid teams, digital collaboration across borders. But one thing remains the same: the desire for places where people can work, learn and grow together.
